The sculptor and wood carver of Alfara del Patriarca, Raul Abad, have presented at the Center of Craftsmanship of the Comunitat Valenciana a retrospective of his religious, figurative and modern sculpting works. Twenty pieces that overtake 25 years of the artist’s work.
Other works by Raul Abad throughout his career are the pictures of San Pedro and San Andrés, 1.90 meters high; the main facade of the Church of Nuestra Sra. de los Ángeles de El Cabanyal; the cross, 2.50 meters high, located in the top of the bell tower of the Church of San Ramon at Paiporta (Valencia) and the Moses of Michelangelo, 1.60 meters high, made for drawing model CEU for the Cardenal Herrera University at Alfara del Patriarca (Valencia).
Also Abad has created a sculpture of Santa Teresa de Jornet Ibars, 2 meters high and made of white marble, located in the nursing home in Cuenca, a bronze finish bust of John Paul II; a black granite bust of Albert Einstein, another one of the Valencian sculptor Manuel Rodriguez and a bust of the golf player Severiano Ballesteros for the first anniversary of his death, recently located in Pedreña (Cantabria).
