Catalonia Crafts Week (Semana de Artesanía de Catalunya) is a display of different activities with a commercial, entrepreneurial and informative aspect, promoted by the Consortium of Trade, Crafts and Fashion of Catalonia (CCAM). Said week is divided in 5 activities: the presentation of Maestro Artisan Diplomas, the presentation of the National Crafts Awards of the Regional Government of Catalonia, The CraftRoom, the exhibition of the guest country (Japan) and the OFF Setmana.
The Craftroom is the greatest showcase of Catalonia’s crafts. It welcomes a sample of exhibitions and sales of craft products of different areas and professions: fashion items, jewellery, household items, gifts, decorative elements,etc., with the presence of Spanish craft workshops, an area of entrepreneurs and a guest country, Japan. It will take place from July 10 to the 12, 2015, from 10am to 9pm.
It is addressed to professional artisans working on craft activities included in the repertoire of craft professions shown in the annex of the Decree 182/2014, as well as craft workshops and businesses legally constituted that carry out one or more of the activities included in said annex; also entities and institutions linked to craftsmanship (schools, museums, city halls, associations, and service and raw materials suppliers). The application deadline to participate ends in May 15.
