Nearly 200 professional of the field attended the ceremony of the first edition of the Valencian Community Crafts Awards, hosted by the Councillor of Economy, Industry, Tourism and Employment, Máximo Buch. A ceremony that help to acknowledge the excellency, quality and innovation characteristic of the Valencian crafts, as pointed out the councillor himself in his speech.

The main aim of these awards is to highlight the crafts creativity and the ability of the field to adapt to the new tendencies that consumers request. A field that has an important role in the economic activity of this autonomy, and that translates in a total of 103 trades and 3200 known businesses in the Document of Crafts Qualification (DCA), which generates over 30,000 jobs and a volume of business of 1900 millions of euros.
