Located in Sant Jordi (Castellón), this business was created due to the passion that Abelardo Ripoll felt towards the cooper trade. Towards the end of the 90s, he decided to rekindle the family tradition and he opened a workshop to work with oak wood, with the only help of the fire, water and the lathe. Even though he restores and produces barrels, he transformed the cooperage into a Centre of interpretation of Wine and Cooperage.
‘Nautilus’ is a decorative object made of a recycled barrel of bourbon of American oak wood, with over 30 pieces. At the backtrack points, they used cherry wood to create it. It has a capacity of 16 litres and it is suitable to contain liquors. The difficulty of its making was in the narrowness of the pieces that form the body, making the whole process handmade.
