Six craftwork studios from Manises, including the facilities of the Asociación Valenciana de Cerámica AVEC-Gremio, will open their gates freely to the public eye tomorrow Saturday on the occasion of the celebration el the event ‘Good Morning Ceramics’, which celebrates its first edition under the title “¡Hola Cerámica!” in Spain, thanks to the collaboration of the AeCC – Asociación Española de Ciudades de la Cerámica(AeCC).

For those who are interested in visiting the studios and in knowing from first-hand how these masterful pieces of ceramics are elaborated in Manises, there are two special tours –on in the morning and other in the afternoon- which will allow to get to know from the hand of the artisans the spaces, techniques and workplace, with free activities, suitable for all audiences and ages. On the morning: the guided tour will began at 11:00am at the outside of the subway stop Manises. There will be visits to the facilities of Arturo Mora –La Cerámica de Reflejo Metálico-, Ceràmiques Pepe Royo, La Cerámica Valeciana of José Gimeno Martínez and the Valencian association of ceramics AVEC-GREMIO where several artisans will be performing demonstrations.

On the afternoon: the guided tour will began at 5:30pm at the Tourism Office. There will be visits to Domanises, Cerámicas Palanca and Ceràmiques Pepe Royo.

This activity, addressed to the citizens and of free participation, pretends that the society knows the ceramic from close up, how it is worked, and ultimately to get the craftsmanship closer to the public. In total, 13 Spanish towns will organised more than 60 activities to defend the value of the ceramic and to preserve the work.
